All England 2023: 2 Indonesian Men's Doubles Advance to Big 16

The world's oldest badminton tournament saw plenty of action on day two of The All England open, in Birmingham. 

The world's top-rank pair Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto progressed into the big 16 in the men's doubles, after defeating South Korean's, Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Seung Jae. Fajar-Rian win 20-22,  21-12 and 21-19. 

Another Indonesia men's doubles, Leo Rolly Carnando, and Daniel Marthin, make world champions in 2022, Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik out of the tournament. 

The Babies beat Malaysian second seed, 21-18, 14-21 and  21-13 to booked the round of 16 places. 

Top seed in the women's singles draw, Japan's Akane Yamaguchi, was in imperious form as she cruised past Mia Blichfeldt of Denmark 21-9, 21-10.

From 9-9 in the opening game, Yamaguchi reeled off 17 points in a row and the world champion completed an eighth straight victory over Blichfeldt in 31 minutes.
